A SUCCESSFUL CAMP DEPENDS ON GREAT COACHING.
All of Britannia’s coaches have extensive experience from England and youth soccer in the U.S. holding national or state licenses.
Coaches are selected for their knowledge of soccer and are all experienced educators.
COACHING STAFF:
(Major League Soccer coach at Portland Timbers). Steve has extensive coaching experience both in the UK and the USA at the NCAA, High School, Club, Camp, and full time Professional level. His playing experience includes keeper for the Premiership team Everton FC on their U-17 squad, where he worked extensively with Gordon Banks, goalkeeper for England when they won the 1966 World Cup. Adam holds an English FA Preliminary license, USSF A license, and a USSF National Goalkeeper License. Adam is also currently completing his UEFA A license.
(Staff coach at VC Fusion and OVS teacher). John begins his 11th year as Britannia Coach. Matt brings a wealth of teaching credentials to VC Fusion Britannia Camp. Whilst being a respected teacher and school soccer coach at the Ojai Valley School, John also has soccer credentials including the National Youth License, USSF C and USSF B License.John has previously coached for the Westmont Women’s soccer team and is currently working with several youth teams at Ventura County Fusion.
(Director of Soccer of Fusion Men’s PDL Team). James has played professionally at the top level of English football. He is currently the owner of First Wave Sports Marketing group, representing players worldwide and organizing soccer tours for English Premiership teams in the USA.James was the head coach of Fusion’s PDL team 2007 -2009 leading the team to their first national championship. Additionally James has been the Director for the Japanese F.A. and the Commercial Director of English Premier League football club Chelsea.
(General Manager and founder of VC Fusion). Ron was the former head coach of the VC Fusion W League Women’s teams. Ranbir coached the girls U17 Cal South Olympic Development Program to a National Championship in 2008. Ranbir has also worked with Region IV ODP and as a coach education instructor for Cal South. Ranbir holds a Masters degree in Education and is a certified by USSF, English FA, UEFA and NSCAA.
(Staff coach VC Fusion). Peter has been working as a VC Fusion Youth Academy Head Coach since 2008. In 2010 Pat became the Fusion Youth Program Director for Grassroots programs. Pat has extensive coaching qualifications including USSF National C License, National Youth License & and Advanced Coaching Instructor for AYSO.
“Fusion player stars” will also be on hand to provide tips and skills to all the 2011 campers!
